Become a PGSU member

The graduate worker union at Princeton University, Princeton Graduate Students United (PGSU) is a democratic organization led by its members. Membership is open to all Princeton graduate students, and all members are welcome to attend meetings, participate in decision-making discussions, contribute to working-groups, and organize their fellow workers, with the aim of voluntary recognition of PGSU as a legally-recognized bargaining entity by our employer, Princeton University.


To declare membership in PGSU, please provide the following information and assent to our Code of Conduct below. A membership card will be issued to eligible members on receipt of the form.

Members and affiliates of PGSU are representatives of the unionization efforts at Princeton University and should conduct themselves in accordance with the aims and ethics of PGSU. This includes treating others with respect and consideration, making every effort to hear one another fully, and expressing concerns with the issue in mind. In all of this we ask our members to be mindful of their structural position and take this into account in their relations with others.
