We, the graduate student workers of Princeton University, are organizing a union to ensure better living and working conditions for graduate students across departments and disciplines. Graduate workers play an integral role in both the research and teaching mission of the University. As higher education changes, it is increasingly urgent that we have a collective voice and stand in solidarity with fellow workers, students, and community members at Princeton. In affiliation with the American Federation of Teachers, Princeton Graduate Students United will address issues including, but not limited to, housing, healthcare, and ongoing fights against discrimination. By coming together, we will empower student workers to improve transparency, demand accountability, and ensure that we have an equal partnership in decisions that shape our future and the future of the University.
